Tomcats2: when i was growing up i loved playing football soccer to US csers
i was kicking with my right foot being right handed and was appaling i was getting rather upset at school when my cousin called me over in the play ground and said Tc try with your left foot so i did within a year i was playing for the school and to this day when have a kick about never use my right foot !

I was very much right footed until a serious knee injury at the age of fifteen forced me to use my left foot. I found that when my right knee recovered I was able to use both feet equally well and have been able to ever since.

cheers

tomcatwarne: I've heard of a clever way of predicting whether your newborn will be right or left-handed. It's not foolproof, but the first clues might be in the way the babies turn their heads. If like most newborns it's to the right, then they are more likely to be right-handed. Lefties turn to the left.ref google

From experience, I'd say that probably doesn't work for mixed handers, which might be 30% of the population. laugh

jac379: I received a mail with an introductory list of personal traits...blue eyes, right handed, 2 year old daughter...

Does it make a difference to you if someone is left, or right handed?

Wouldnt enter my head.

My sons and his partner lived in my house for 2 years, they are together 10 years and I only noticed a few months ago that she is left handed :)

I have not red the whole thread but I have noticed that several persons have said that they are lefties.

I wonder how many dysfunctional left-handed are in this site

uh oh

(along with many dysfunctional right-handed and bidextrous)

laugh

What if a person has not right hand or left hand or both hands since birth?

I guess the way s/he uses his/her feet might say her/his tendency.

I happen to be a rightie but certainly wouldn't care one way or another when considering dating if someone's right handed, left handed, or ambidextrous.

Based soley on personal observation it does seem that lefties tend to be a little quirkier, more artistic, and usually have a good sense of humor. Not to mention, being a baseball coach I love lefties laugh

With your fine tuned observational skills, are you sure they were not just a random couple of imposters at your house? laugh

Well here in the USA ! Left handed athletes are worth there weight in gold

Baseball- left handed pitchers are prized and will get more money . Why? Rare and different

UFC ( mixed martial arts) lefties find success = $$$ why - righties thought they where right handed and got knocked out because it caught them by surprise or they couldn't adapt to something different

Nfl football- left handed quarterbacks are prized and more valuable $$$$
Why - once again because they are different and able to do things right handers can't
And they hard to come by

Bottom line is when most everyone is right handed that is what they are expecting and prepared to engage! Lefty catches them by surprise using unfamiliar methods. Lefties dominate because they are expecting and prepared for right ! If its left against left they know each others ways and anything can happen just like right vs right!

In America it pays to be different! If you can use left and right it's double trouble double the fun! Everyone wants what they don't have ! Something different

When money talks people listen . Who cares what everyone else thinks they are all the same
Lefts ability becomes rights disability and downfall.

I'm right handed but would have traded for the left

It all comes down to this - our world is driven by $$$
Left handers $$$$$$ vs right $$$
Money talks screw what people think or say

I'm a right handed former college pitcher and I'm with you on this one! Lefts different ability becomes rights disability and downfall! If I was a coach I'd love lefties on my side ! But as a player they are left handed kryptonite for a right handed superman ! Glad we see eye to eye coach ! Can't deny fact that left has better chance for college recruiting and pro ! They don't even hafto be as good as right and still get more$$$$$$$$ !
Prepared for right but facing left is like looking for a curve and getting a screwball
Your screwed

That's surprising to me, for that is usually one of the first things I notice about someone as it looks "weird" to me when someone is using their left hand to write or such other activity.
