Tomcats2: Im reading The Penguin Book Of First World War Poetry. its very good but very sad to
Gary Larson's Far Side series. (it's the kid in me). one fave: two astronauts are on the moon, and one cries, "WE MADE IT WARREN! WE MADE IT TO THE MOON"! and at the same time his hand, thrown in excitement, is breaking the glass in the other astronaut's helmet.

Evening Jim! wave

Don't you have google translate or something?laugh

It's about the history of women in Freemasonry before and after Franco, but more about how they fought for the rights of women.

I have just finished reading... " The People Smuggler" the true story of Ali Al Jenabi.. written by Robin de Crespigny.. and she did a very good job with his story..

This Ali is still in jail/detention for his role of smuggling Iraqi, Iranians into our country, and tells an awful story of his childhood in Iraq under Saddam Hussein, and his time in jail there.

This man, I don't believe has any luck at all...

I will admit... I could not read this book in huge chunks... it was way too unsettling, but I did manage to finish it.. after a couple of weeks.

Alicia,My story
By Alicia Appleman-Jurman
I picked it up a few weeks ago in a second-hand shop for a few cent.
Relatively old, from 1988.
It is a memoir of Ada Jurman's journey trough Europe starting in 1938.
She starts her story being around the same age as my daughter is, but it is not a story I want my daughter to read now.
None the less it is a story she will have to learn.
Not only her but her whole generation.
It is a disturbing story.
I found it hard and very emotional.
But I highly recommend it.

whistlinwheel: Atlas Shrugged again,By the wonderfully funny Ayn Rand, such a funny lady, and quite the novelist, although it may be just a little long, that would be my only complaint of it,but all in all a great read.

That was a very good movie. I have the book but never got around to reading it.

I'm not reading anything now. I'm in the process of packing and moving this coming weekend doh

Have a few on the go, but currently reading "Stepping Up: How Taking Responsibility Changes Everything" by Dr. John Izzo PhD which focuses on how we can effect changes in our world by being conscious that we are responsible for our small circle of radius of influence.

Conversations with the Universe

"Living is not a tedious exercise of getting through one thing after another, but a gentle awakening to a deep and profound connection of the Universe continually speaking to us through this earth school. We are not just receiving a sign or synchronicity from time to time; they are ever-present in everything and speaking volumes to each one of us.” -Simran Singh angel
