Yes, some people put up old pics and lie about their age as well. 
They are looking for someone who probably wouldn't be interested in them if they would be honest.
Doesn't make sense to me, as well as wasting 2 people's time, who in their right mind would meet someone again who could be their parent agewise and just lies about the basics?
