A. Could you even consider a life without Facebook?!! Would you even comprehend deleting your account?! Do you find FB is a beneficial addition to your life, or, in reality, a waste of time, in essence a 'disconnect' from friends???
B. Have you avoided Facebook? Never felt compelled to join or feel you needed it in your life?
I want to hear from the A's and B's.........I just trimmed my 'friend' list down to the 50 mark, hell, I don't even have that many 'friends' even, I'm just wondering if I really need FB, but also wondering could I be without
im in different. i couldn be bothered anymore.. feel sometimes that ive outgrown it.. keep in contact with freinds via it but other than that makes no difference whether i log on or not
I have friends and relatives in numerous locations across Europe and beyond, it is very handy for keeping in touch with them and finding out what the story is with them, but I get what you mean, I don't really want to know how much you love/adore/can't live without hubby/wifey, why are you telling me anyway? You should be telling them. I don't care which subway sandwich you had today, how many miles you jogged, or if you just woke up with a raging hangover, and I really, really don't care what cat was put in what damn wheelie bin.
I am fed up of receiving invites to join "causes," that are suppose to tug at my heart strings that I have never ever heard of before, let alone have the slightest bit interest in.
The bits I do though like are the funny comments/pages and knowing at the touch of a button, that close friends and family are doing okay and are happy, which is the important bit, not all the fluff and nonsense that goes with facebook.
Some people use facebook to try and show how popular they are, having hundreds/thousands of friends, nearly if not all, are just associates, a friend is something entirely different.
It has also just occurred to me that people have posted their entire lives on here on occasion.
WittyandWise: I try to keep my numbers down and remove people on the QT at times I also ignore most friend requests, and I never send friend requests
true.whats all this crack of being friends with 3 and a half thousand people all about anyway?aaah me and my other fb friend are always laughing at that

The number of friends they have actually puts me off letting them on my fb, I mean if I accept them as a friend, obviously I do not mind them seeing my page, but I hate the thought that all their friends can view my fb page, though I think I have this private saunters of to check

i have facebook but only signed up to it last year and wouldnt really us it to much now anyway so yes i could live without it
i could live without my boyfriend too...but i dont want to..same as facebook.
i enjoy the splurge into what mary did with tommy last weekend..and what little sallys dress looked like at her communion..and congratulating mike in australia on the birth of his new son... and throw the odd pic up with something that made me think.
all my friends are my friends cos they wanna be.. and its not like prison..u can leave..just seems a lot of people are enjoying the communicating themselves to the world in whichever weird way they like to. No harm where harm isnt meant.
Could I live without Facebook? Absolutely, but, it is does have it's uses....
I very seldom post stuff on it, and when I do, it's usually a music video, but I was out of the country for a month earlier this year so it was great for keeping in touch with my daughter, keeping up to date on club football etc
I only have an account for about 3 years and I've noticed that every month, I use it less and less
