A clique is group of people who are in a close nit group and are not excepting of others or their ideas.
Cliques exist because one self serving person manages to influence other folks into their way of thinking and if they want them to ignore other folks they will do so, because they do not wish to be out of favour with the leader or the other members of the clique.
Cliques are very bad news and individuality or courage is not something those members have, but meanness, ignorance and outright stupidity underlines the mindset of a clique.
My view on individuality is that one is free to think for themselves, make one’s own decisions without outside influences and be accepting of others or their opinions.
I have always made my own decisions, will not be influenced by what others think and will always be my own man!

I'm not a cliquer, but certainly not for a lack of trying! My interest in music was so strong I joined a group of like-interested musicians and singers. Sooooooooo much ego, one-upmanship, patronizing and condescending, a huge exclusion under the guise of "sure, come join us"! Well, color me dummy, but I continued to try to be a part of this for over 20 years. I finally gave myself permission to stop blaming myself for them being sanctimonious a*h. And, I discovered I'm just not a group type person. Have you ever noticed in any group there is no room for colorful character? I have not been on CS for 4 days, wireless-internet problems, (now fixed) and this was the thread that was currently on top of the "all threads" section. I read through all the posts, expressed my own opinion, and you accused me of "slandering" you.
Perhaps I missed some clique dramma this week on CS?

Anybody can debate on this subject, but what I do not tolerate is people trying to slader me and involve me in anyway, because it's a subject about cliques VS individuality and not I subject about me or other members characters.
