serene56: Unlao I'm totally addicted to a Vietnamese dish I saw on the telly just recently I've tweaked it a bit, but it goes as followsFry a heap of chopped garlic, a chopped up red chilli and 4 sliced spring onions (shallots?) in a little oil...
Throw in a can of whole tomatoes, break them up and let all that simmer for ten minutes or so.
In the meantime, cube 250g of tofu and fry it till golden in a little oil, drain on paper towel.
When your tomato mix has bubbled a bit, stir in 2tblsn fish sauce, 1 tspn sugar and half a tsp salt and pepper.
Toss the tofu in there and serve with rice, it's to die for I promise
Can I replace the tofu with something meaty? I've never cooked with it in my life but it sounds divine
