PRDreaming: It has been my experience that some men are not truthful about their age. Met a guy for a dinner date and he confessed to being older. He justified lying about his age because his mom did it. His mother even married a very young man at that.
A friend of mine, experienced the same...her boyfriend lied about his age...she happened to see his license and did the math...older!
So, if people are not truthful about something small like that, is it possible they are not truthful about many other things? Hmmmmmm....

Age is one thing you can't change or conceal to well. If theylie about their age, chances are a lie comes easy to them in other
areas. imo.

I could see why someone who looks young would knock a few years off their stated age on a dating site to stay within a common search parameter - such as putting 49 when you're actually 52 - but they should fess up sharpish.

I've come across blokes who've lied about their age, too.
I suppose they have their reasons. If I think in terms of a bloke who's getting on a bit and really wants children, or someone who thinks they're on the scrap heap because of their age, I can kind of understand that might be an emotionally difficult issue.
The lying thing doesn't sit easy with me, though.
Where there's a big discrepancy between actual and stated ages, I do wonder why people are comfortable with others thinking they look really, really knackered for their age.

I don't think I could go through the humiliation of having to confess I had lied. I have had men lie to me about their age before even though age doesn't matter to me, it's the attraction and the person that does not the date on their passport.
