Yup! If you have enough faith but one of you must be able or willing to relocate when the time is right...

If you cannot find anyone local take a higher step.Things happen when you least expect it.There are a lot a good people in other countries but language and customs are different.Think with your head but trust your heart for true feelings. On line is just a virtual image of someone; you cannot capture all the details.Be alert for scammers because they can drain you out.Best of luck...

Personally, I don’t think that long distance relationship could work!
Off course, there are the exceptions, but don’t even think to date anyone from Latin-American countries, except on your own risk..
I don’t want to offend anyone, but its standard practice in some countries like Colombia and
Venezuela, from where most of the women who are on this site are married or in relationship and
living in economic poverty!
For them, the only reason being here is to get in contact with someone and to get extra income!
Once again..there is exceptions!
Good luck and be careful!

No way they work.

Only for a very short period and only when one or even better both partners are ready to relocate.

People need to be able to see eye to eye, to touch, feel n smell.

A long distance internetrelationship is a burden. It can even prevent you from being happy with someone within range.

I have a few friends at long distance cause i travelled a bit and emigrated as well, so i know what i'm talking about. Friendships can last longer however and there the internet can help. Not for partners however.

I was in a long distanced relationship for 4 years. We were so compatible..so much in common. We were engaged to wed. He ended the relationship, as he couldn't find a job in Maryland...mind you the economy was pretty bad then. He broke my heart...I moved forward. My mom says..."amor de lejos, amor de pendejos." Meaning...love from a distance, love of fools.

If only it were as as Easey to travel as men because I think alot of us ladies are tied to our children even when they are 21 and then when they get married we have the grandchildren and babysitting or childminding while parents or mammy and daddy go to work,,for those of us not grandparents yet alot of our children still live at home and some mothers be fearful of leaving the house in case one comes back to a house that needs to be renovated,,then if mam going on a date even with a local man it's like an interrogation being asked where one is going,"oh why have you got that dress on and perfume,:think ill resort to sneaking out my bedroom window and go to a late cafe for tea, within the vicinity of my home town,..now I'm still plotting how do I get to Saudis Arabia, blues wink

Your mom is a wise woman.

Long distance relationships rarely work, but never say never, and have lasted longer for some than others. Sooner or later, though, the distance gets in the way.

thumbs up well said.
It even kills friendships after a while. I think you need to be able to hang out with a person to keep a friendship or a relationship going, do normal stuff like go for coffee, gym, shopping or whatever you have in common and be able to talk about day's happenings like "hey that guy on the bicycle was so funny wasn't he"
