It's like women just can't resist trying to get closer to them. Is it because they think they can get the same, that the other woman had with him ? Or is it because they feel sorry for him ?

I wouldn't say if that's true or untrue. But I will say that women prefer taken men and this is a scientifically proven fact*. Perhaps there's an overlap between taken men and divorced/widowed men? At least divorced/widowed men have proven that they've been able to attract a woman at at least some point in his life. The single man offers no such assurance of his experience. Also, the difference between a taken man and a divorced/widowed is that she doesn't have to indulge in mate stealing to get him, which some women may have a moral qualm against.

Hmm.. not in my case, to be sure. I wouldn't touch either with a 10 ft pole. Friends yes, but for a relationship it's a big NO.

They certainly wouldn't be to me. What a generalisation
There is a pointlessness in asking these questions because you can't filter vanity from your responses. You're relying upon self-reporting, and not even anonymous self-reporting at that, from the most image-conscious people of them all.
You can prove that X is true, or at least that X is in the majority, yet if there's any chance that X will tarnish an image or suggest that a woman is not wholly unique in what she does then you can guarantee that X will form the minority of publicly stated female opinion.
all my married friends have women running after them.and thats not just here.when i was living in europe was the same thing. when man is single women dont estimate him.but when he has a beatiful woman becide him other women run after him too.my life experiences.

Sounds to me like.......

Starting with any positive integer n, form a sequence in the following way:
If n is even, divide it by 2 to give n' = n/2. If n is odd, multiply it by 3 and add 1 to give n' = 3n + 1.
Then take n' as the new starting number and repeat the process. For example:
n = 5 gives the sequence 5, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, 4, 2, 1,... n = 11 gives the sequence 11, 34, 17, 52, 26, 13, 40, 20, 10, 5, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, 4, 2, 1,...
These are sometimes called "Hailstone sequences" because they go up and down just like a hailstone in a cloud before crashing to Earth - the endless cycle 4, 2, 1, 4, 2, 1. It seems from experiment that such a sequence will always eventually end in this repeating cycle 4, 2, 1, 4, 2, 1,... and so on, but some values for N generate many values before the repeating cycle begins.
If not the lying eyes and the real world then there's always the scientific evidence proving the fact to those completely indifferent to the truth(or have social autism).
And I know for certain that wherever I go, and if I'm with my girlfriend, then other women will become more interested in me.

Amazing. So anyway, the only point of a pointless conversation is when the point is not the point. That is, the conversation is a cover for something else which, between single men and women, is usually seduction. But you're not going to seduce women with this question. And probing them for honesty can only attract hostility.
Better to talk about things subjective and emotive where there can be no truth or fact or right and wrong. It's better for a man take an interest in astrology.
