Me too. They did not like the Whoopee Cushion in History class.

Older than my kids and young enough to keep up with me.

Physical age is just a number.
Mental age is much more important. I have met some "stodgy old boring people" who were much younger than me that put me to sleep and some more aged folk with whom I got (mentally and sometimes physically) winded trying to keeping up with.
Then there is the attitude aspect. Got to have a great attitude. No debbie downers, no whiners, no Bozos, no "afraid of life"-ers. On the other hand, no "ain't afraid of nottin" or "consequences? what consequences?" peep either.
But, that all said, there does come a limit to the age difference where we just don't have the same background, ideals, beliefs, or any connection. Not sure where that limit is since everyone is soooo very different and I am pretty open minded.

I had this female co-worker, she divorced her first husband
he was her age
then she married a younger man and everything around her changed
for good, that was 15 years ago, today they're still together.

As long as we can relate to each other and have the same energy level, age is just a number. I have met men much younger than I who have an attitude to life that is too old for me, and conversely met men considerably older than I who are able to run rings around me.
