JeanKimberley: I read somewhere that most men cry for their mommy. I didn't mean that to be just a flippant response, but to make the point in support of some of the older wiccan religious thoughts and ideologies. Mother earth, goddesses etc.

I read that too and its usually people in wars when they get shot. They revert back to the time when they were young and only their mother could help.

AgentAjax: but no one gets results from god but only human intervention helps . sorry those are facts.

I perhaps suggest that the facts support that we humans do get comfort from god. In our hours of need, we can get comfort in our beliefs. I think that is a fact.

AgentAjax: Blind faith leads you into dead ends
Blind faith has led me to a life worth living. So today I have faith in more of a spiritual sense rather than religious. Having faith in no way makes me foolish either. It is tempered by general common sense and doing the right thing. It doesn' t matter if I am agreed with or not, nor am I a crusader or converter. The important thing is that I have a faith that works for me.comfort

Oregongold: UPDATE:

Too bad man doesn't have the brain power to comprehend the magnitude of what was needed to create life. I wonder if there is a logical explanation from those who don't believe in Creation..... Some entity, supreme being created life, yet the non-believers still cant and never will come to their explanation of WHO if not man created the universe, and life... I sometimes think that ANIMALS are more loving and smarter then humans... you don't see them screwing others over to get ahead.. just my opinion... IF we didn't discuss things we wouldn't get to know people for WHO they are. Respect opinions, and each other...
that might have been once upon a time but now we do, look up synthetic life. What's more not only have they created synthetic life but also synthetic DNA that mixes freely with natural DNA.

Believing in your self is much more rewarding. As the song goes I did it my way.

And who are you to say NO ONE gets results from God???? Have you spoken to everyone one this Earth, so you could get their opinion/belief/facts for a valid point? I think not, therefor, you have no facts to substantiate YOUR opinion that no one gets results from God. I rest my case.
Thank you.

I have yet to hear or see and argument for evolution. They all have missing links.

We haven't seen a single thing evolve in 6,000 years except technology. We've seen extinctions, mutations created by man, genetic anomalies, but not one single actual evolvement of a species or organism.

With extinctions alone, there is nothing to take the place of the species. Anything said to have "evolved" has no living relatives they are said to derive from. There are lots of "missing links" though.

With the giant fossils in mountainous areas to back up the great flood, biblical accounts that actually take place during roman periods with generals that really existed and more; I'm more hard pressed to find evidence of evolution.

I don't know - we might have to have a conversation with scientists that study bacteria and viruses. They are certainly new diseases that crop up - that just get created -

I also understand we have trillions of diverse bacteria in our stomaches that are so beneficial to our human survival - and some new things get created all the time - like when tigers and lions mate - or cross species.

Crossbreeding two animals is not evolution, and a mutated virus is just a mutation not an evolved virus

AgentAjax: facts are facts. Next time you get sick you will visit a doctor but thank god for getting better...and I too rest my case

About 6 years ago, a neurological surgeon performed spinal surgery on me, (my spinal cord was slowly being spliced by the disc between C6-C7, jarred loose by a previous fall down stairs).....he couldn't repair the part of the spinal cord that was spliced/permanently damaged, but he repaired the damaged disc using a few cadaver bones and titanium plates & screws. I have slight permanent damage to my right side, but I am still able to most things I could do before my surgery, (but no more skiing, or playing softball, etc...)
Trust me, I thanked my surgeon AND God for the opportunity to be "fixed"/healed as well as I was. The surgeon fixed my broken body and my faith in God gave me the strength to get me through my 8 weeks of therapy/recovery.
With that said, what I lived through & got through, makes your "case" invalid & a moot point in my eyes.

peace

I have an interesting thought. A surgeon may stitch up a patient after performing the surgery. So it could be said the surgeon did have a part in saving that person' s life. There is more though, afterward the wounds begin to heal, but this has nothing to do with the surgeon anymore. The surgeon doesn' t heal the recovering wounds. What does though?

Thanks Joey grin
True, but I do sometimes miss doing things I once could, especially softball....I was pretty darn good! But, I am thankful to God for all I still CAN do, so it balances out.

AgentAjax: I haven't heard one yet!Is it possible to come up with one that is logical.

The best argument for Creation is this: The best documented fact of human history is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Say what you will, something happened at Jesus' tomb that CANNOT be explained in human terms. Now, if that be true - and it IS true - and if Jesus quoted from and gave every indication that He believed the Old Testament, to me, that is the BEST proof possible that everything happened just as it says it did in the Book of Genesis. But, if you don't believe that Jesus is the Christ, don't make any difference: you are doomed.

Im glad it all worked out for you but without the surgeon you never would have gotten better no matter how much you believed in god. As I said you all turn to medical intervention but fail to give full credit to science and the good will of mankind.
