2intrigued: Hiya Mimi If that's the case, why is he picking on us poor Canadians?

It's 10:32 p.m. and I was told by a very smart woman that it's okay to eat late so yeah, I'll take a couple of cupcakes and a cuppa hot chocolate would be nice too. I've got a load of pennies in my piggy bank now that we've eliminated the penny from our currency so I'll give you a few of those.

It's ok Trigs, no need to sort out those pennies, just give me the 'whole piggy'
Given the Canadians I know, I'd say they're as cheap as USA folks are fat. Of course, they believe they're just being 'frugal' when it comes to tipping

Really?????????? No more pennies
Mimi, could I please have a chocolate cupcake with a cuppa tea
I saw a trick on tv about cupcakes that have a lot of icing on the top. Cut the cupcake in half and turn the top of it around so that the icing is inbetween both pieces. That way it's easier to eat the cupcake.

Wow! That's a brilliant way of eating cupcakes. Must tell my daughter that! Thanks But on the other hand, she shouldn't be eating anymore cupcakes otherwise she'd end up just like me and that's the last thing we both want!
Ok Secretagent, one chocolate cupcake with a lot of icing on the top and a cuppa tea on the way. What tea would you prefer? You have a choice of English Breakfast, Darjeeling, Earl Grey, Orange Pekoe, Chamomile, Peppermint and Japanese Green Tea

That's right, the penny is now history. When you go to buy something now, something that is for example, $2.91 or $2.92 will be rounded out to $2.90 but if it's $2.93 or $2.94, it gets rounded out to $2.95. If you use a debit card, you pay the exact amount with no rounding out.
Taxpayers lost $105 million on pennies and nickels last year
In 2013, the cost of making pennies and nickels exceeded their face value for the eighth year in a row. The cost of minting a penny stood at 1.8 cents, nearly twice its face value. Nickels cost twice as much as dimes – 9.4 cents vs. 4.6 cents – despite being worth only half as much.

Orange Pekoe please Mimi and a cupcake without icing or maybe just a little filling in the middle. Here's the cup I would like to use

Just wondering why they give such lousy tips.
