2intrigued: It's sad that those little doggies and kitties that we consider pets and companions are being eaten by others.
True, but of course in those cultures, dogs are just another kind of meat, not the pampered pooches we are accustomed to.
If we had cows and pigs kept as pets, named them, took them for walks, played ball with them, fed them with canned and packet foods and in many cases, let them sleep on our beds, we would no doubt feel the same about eating them.
It's the treatment of those dogs prior to executing them that I have a problem with .. they are often hog-tied and left without food or water until they are needed.
Abhorrent and a practice that needs to be stamped out.
