galrads: So, has anyone determined if Merkel really gives a good PSF? And why doesn't Greece take on the lot of refugees with funding from other western states? And why doesn't the EU nations kick all non Syrians out of Syria and then make Syria a member of the EU? Wouldn't that get EU states cost savings on natural gas and other stuff?
Greece was nearly bankrupt they are now almost refugees themselves, hihi. And the European forces? They are not trained for battle but for maintaining peace. I got a better idea, make Donald Trump president of US and he will get rid of these "crap" with the forces. What do you think? So The US can again test some new weapons, great not?? ...

I want to believe that the only weapons the USA needs to develop and test/use are ones which fight cancer.......
Tell it Donald and the republicans! There are some similarities in the struggle against cancer and the refugees. You can't win from them. They only become bigger.

Strange as it may seem,, MERKEL is still popular,, she had a standing ovation in her speech despite ,, well Germany is still solid and standing,, for MERKEL that's the most important ,, GERMANY OVER ALL!!!
TheRedSquirrel87: I know that many old people will not understand this. A lot of Baby Boomers missed the gravy train and they're exempt from everything I've said. You know, if you're from some industrial town that went south after the 1980s and you're still there now then I'm not talking about about you.
However, if you now live in a property nicer than the one you grew up in and you're not a doctor or some other highly skilled professional than the chances are that you've got this because of the free lunch. I'm talking about the huge numbers of baby boomers who are semi-skilled or unskilled and yet live like they're middle class on funny money.
This describes younger people that want to live like this in the USA to a Tee. Not all people have what it takes for advanced degrees (which are mostly meaningless in today's real world.) So why don't we bring trade schools back? Rocky Balboa wasn't exactly educated or skilled, by some standards, but he was allowed to rise to his potential.... which is a big part of the American Dream.

If you're not working then the wage depression of cheap and easy labour is a good thing, and so long as the retired control all the money then money power will support mass immigration. The economic monopoly of the old is the primary driver of the foreign hordes and open border policies.
UKIP and Trump and everyone like that represent in principle the interests of the young with a long working life ahead of them. For the moment these politicians supported predominantly by the boomers who didn't make the gravy train, however, the jury is out whether these boomers would be better off by supporting the mainstream monopoly of their generation; Even the boomers who lost will evade soon evade wage depression and gain from having the extra peanut-paid Polka and Conseula. In actual fact it is young people who really don't need the foreigners which is one reason why pee-cee propaganda is so squarely aimed upon us.

It is not untrue when people claim that mass immigration boosts the economy - it makes the rich get richer and the spreadsheets of high finance even more weird and wonderful and liable to collapse at any given moment. Mass immigration doesn't benefit ordinary working people and even the migrants themselves are often disappointed that life in the west doesn't resemble the life projected out from hollywood and the media.

An alternative view.
RAHEEM KASSAM AND OLIVER LANE3 Dec 2015225 Contributions by migrants to Britain’s economy are “modest” compared to their long term costs, while mass migration depresses wages and harms GDP growth, a respected academic has found.
Published by the Institute for the Study of Civil Society (Civitas), the new pamphlet The Costs And Benefits Of Large-Scale Immigration is a major study of the modern mass migration phenomenon.
Written by King’s College Cambridge fellow and Emeritus Professor of Economics Robert Rowthorn, the report finds serious discrepancies between the claims made by left-wing, and “centrist” establishment politicians and the reality of mass migration.
While mass migration will drive almost all population growth in the next 75 years, the growth will not deliver any improvement of living conditions or economic growth, says Prof. Rowthorn. As Britain’s population swells by a remarkable 30 million by 2080, GDP per capita — the measure of wealth enjoyed by individuals — will only enjoy marginal growth as wages stagnate.
This wage stagnation, or even a real-terms decrease in earnings, will be felt primarily by working class Britons as oversupply of labour from new migrants pushes down wages. The report also put paid to the myth that migrants were important to an economy, by paying for the pensions of retired British.
The opposite is true, finds Prof. Rowthorn. In the case of the so-called ‘dependency rate’ — the number of pensioners to every 100 working age people — not only did the already high figure not improve, the amount of migration required to keep the level stable continues to spiral as time goes on. In fact for every one percent reduction in the ratio achieved, Britain would have to import some 5.3 million new people.
Any progress is eventually lost as working-age migrants get older, retire, and do not return home — requiring a whole new generation of migrants coming to Britain to care for them in turn.
On this phenomenon, Prof. Rowthorn writes: “Many people would consider it better to settle for much less immigration and much slower population growth at the cost of slightly faster ageing”.
Far better, he suggests, is to raise the retirement age slightly instead, and spare Britain tens of millions of migrants and descendents of migrants over the coming decades.

there are plenty of trade schools to attend. i did a quick google search here in cleveland and over 100 came up. it's not that we need more trade schools, its that we need the workers who are in their 40's and 50's who were displaced due to the great recession and technological advances to re-tool and learn a new skill. many of these people worked manufacturing jobs or lets say on an automobile assembly line and lost their jobs due to robotics. these individuals were in the middle of their lives and comfortable, looking forward to retirement in a few years. now they face the reality that starting over from scratch and more likely then not having less earning power then they used to has them frustrated... so much so that many of these displaced workers have given up and dropped out of the job market.
