Yeats1980: It will mark the beginning of the end for the EU project. The real issues will come when countries like Italy and Spain start to question the project. Theie decision will include leaving the Euro currency also...that will have a devastating effect on the economies of Europe. There will be no trust in the Euro as a currency if countries start to leave.
Europe needs to change. Germany want an EU which is structured in its image..unfortunately that is impossible. European beliefs relating to fiscal and monetary policy need to change. It is hard to believe that the ECB has absolutely no role in trying to directly combat unemployment in the EU. The so-called European Social Model becomes a farce in a situation where youth unemployment figures of upwards of 50% in certain countries are acceptable....

Youth unemployment at high rates and still
Bringing in far too high rates of immigrants
That quite often send their money abroad through
The western union

It's like draining the blood out of a persons body
Shooting ourselves on two fronts

The same multinationals that pay them
Minimum wage that doesn't even cover
The ridiculously high rents now

Multiple adults in one home are working
Noe to pay the rent

I grew up on a cul de sac of 32 houses
In each house only one person worked
Yet still paid a mortgage and owned the
Home at the end of it, all were in very
Modest jobs yet still could provide for
Larger families than today's families

We also have the scenario now where
More and more are renting, the result Is
A merry go round of people coming and
Going from an area, the result is no
Community spirit develops and this Is
Part of the grand plan

People united are powerful, people that
Don't know each other don't organise and
While it's like that we,ll never have s fight back

I hope they remain in it. I hope Brexit is defeated. When will the UK get over the War? The Germans are always blamed it seems. Anyway if UK leaves Ireland should also leave imo.

it all boils down to accountability,
Which shower of idiots do you want in charge.

Ahern: "buck stops here" speaking about the A&E crisis in 2006.

It was a time when people in Ireland were sick to the teeth of the Bourgeois attitude of the Irish elite, Public outcries on many issues lead to the above ridiculous statement by a very capable criminal.

Now in 2015 the only luxury afforded to the people of Ireland is the one that our politicians can lie without impunity the buck no longer stops there. It has been moved further afield well out of sight and hidden in the bureaucracy of the lobbyist playground that is Brussels.. Our country Constitution and right to a say was sold when Lisbon was singed and TTIP is the icing on the cake.
Leaving or not leaving is irreverent. the knowledge that every time you vote you give an a55 hole all of your power is key. But then it suits most to do this because when we do its not our fault when things go wrong, the blame vanishes into the mist of a faceless invisible shame ....

Nonsense if you ever try to leave they'll come out with sanctions like they did with Russia. Or will give you the Cuba treatment.
