truheart1941: I have one of the clay pots with handle to put on shoulder to drink...moonshine....and 1 packet of fries please.thhhhank yo alllll kindyleeeeeee
Shinegirl: That wouldn't be appie pie shine, would it? I love some blueberry and cherry, too.
Why of course it be! I have been thinking maybe a mix fruit one. With a little apple juice to lighten the flavor. Already had a bloody mary this morning so best stick maybe to some hot tea if you have it. Any flavor not fussy there. Getting up early tomorrow and going to see if I can find somewhere for breakfast and catch the colts game. So gotta lay low this evening. I am not a morning person being I work mid shift. And don't want to scare people by looking wild eyed Early morning
Shinegirl: Yes, my friend and I'll slide you that tea you asked for. Shine is always waiting under the counter when you ready. Loving the band right now.....
Something about hot tea.....
And you are right......good music.....
I think I was raised on all types of music and it sure was in my house growing up.

I come from originally from what is known as a dry county and so prefer the modern shine to the days of yore. Watched that stuff actually in time eat thru a mason jar cap Kept me away from shine for years.

Guns and Roses were my alarm clock when I was young. My brother would listen to them wide open early in the morning when getting ready for school. My sister would listen to Bee Gee's, Sergent Pepper, Boston....My brother would come back with some AC/DC, Whitesnake, Scorpions. They both had them going at the same time and I was lying there in the bed trying to sleep till I had to get up. Those were good memories....

The older I get the more I appreciate memories like those. Good ones. And thankfully I got a bucket full of them.

Believe it or not, I get mine from the abc store. Junior Johnson, the race car driver, made it at his farm illegally for years and even served time for running shine. He finally went legal and still makes it at his farm in Reidsville, NC. It's delicious and really good. Most of it is 100 proof. I've bought some backwoods shine and honestly, I haven't had a lot to compare to the taste of what I'm buying from the store and it's cheaper. Tim Smith, off of Moonshiner's, went legal and sells his in the store now. He had a store right down from where I used to live. About the only place that I would like to get some not sold in stores is in Shooting Creek. They are known as the moonshine capital of the U.S.A. It's near Ferrum, Va. You can drive down the road but I bet there's a gun on you till you turn off. Those people don't play, but they make some of the best homemade moonshine there is.

Wow my cable internet company just interrupted me when I was trying to post this with a fricken commercial. Never had that happen before. And yet they told me the other day they cannot understand why I am not happy with their service. Time to switch up.

I am originally from North Carolina. Robinson County. And yeppers went to Georgia one time and wanted to buy beer on a Sunday had to drive out in to the middle of no where it was like a scene from Cops except instead of crack I was buying beer. Opened my trunk two men ran over threw the beer in my trunk and hauled butt. Hope Georgia has changed that Sunday bann on booze.
Thanks Shine and Happy. I listened to it twice! Music has always been an old friend!!! Right up there with Stairway To Heaven or even up there with Imagine J Lennon

It used to be the same way here in Pittsylvania Co. You'd have to drive to Henry Co. to buy alcohol. The abc stores don't open till 1:00 on Sundays. I asked them what they were waiting on one day....the church crowd. There were people sitting all over the parking lot waiting for them to open. Go out west and you can buy alcohol in CVS, Walmart....everywhere. They don't know what an abc store is....but they don't sell shine, either.

Some days I could stay lost in music. When things get too crazy it's time to hit a concert.
Shine's a big thing here, there are shops that sell little else than brewing products. The other day I noticed they've got signs up saying you need photo ID to buy an air still now because people are using them to make amphetamines. And you're supposed to only run 5 litres of wash through at a time, but I dont think anybody really worries about it.
