lindsyjones: Good morning Aries.

Whether anyone likes it or not, he's our President. Until any group or entity will out seat him, he's the one.

Perhaps this shall explain a bit about American politics and how they have come to elect Trump...a good watch...wine

Let's not forget that all people matter...a society that cares for one another is the healthiest...Sanders has a point

Lou
I would like that one of the people that supports Trump would tell me how it is Trump's health care plan better in comparison to Obama Care.

We are an underdeveloped country but we do have social health care, is it the best? no, but people can have medical care no matter if they are even unemployed.

Lou, in every part of the world, there's no doubt, that's the prime goal, to be good to one another. The question us, who's hurting others and who's killing other people?

The second question is, how do we accomplish being united?

Perhaps why is the world so divided?

Lastly why do you have a job and there's so many who don't have?

Anyways, yes helping one another is good, now how many are in welfare and love to be in welfare forever?

Maybe your country doesn't have them?

Or perhaps Canada.is so ideal that your country doesn't have any problems.wave

Life from my experience it was better for me and the 65 percent if the working citizens. Example, before pre OC, a family of four is charged 400 average health premium, the company normally pays the other half. Today, same family pays 1400, why? The tax write off of the company is removed, can't pay for it anymore.

Google ut, there's plenty of explanation there. Before we voted for it there's about 1000 pages that wasn't explained.

I myself didn't quite understand. But the new one has to be studied first and hope to have it fully explained.

People can see any issue as the health care program in USA as the way it benefits or not that particular person as you have stated, however Liberals like myself do see the issues like health care as the way it benefits "the people" even above my own interests.

I am sorry you do struggle to pay 1,400 dollar for a family health care coverage, we used to pay around 1,000 dollar (while in USA) a few decades ago for the basic insurance of 4 persons in the family.

As an example just one difference between the plans:
Insurance companies now set their own prices
Insurance companies will have more freedom to set their own prices: it means that older people could pay five times the amount charged by younger consumers. Obamacare set the limit at three times the price.

Trumpy is reducing the budget for social programs including health care and increasing the military budget.

And rightly so too, I am just as proud of my birthplace as I am of the UK, I just wish both countries had better politicians and that the people cold live more peaceful lives.

America is an amazing country, I had a wonderful life when I lived and worked there, but a series of Governments since, has changed it.

It's not the people, Galrads or the country that's at fault, it's the government that needs to be put right. Sadly, IMO the one you have now will do nothing to correct those past mistakes, or make the rest of the world view America with the bright shiny eyes they once did sigh

Someone who boasts they pay 37% tax rates hardly needs to worry about $1400 and obviously has no compassion for those who are the poverty belt.

I'm still reading all the changes and it's not easy. There's more disadvantages that affected more people in the OC, this time it must make it better to more people.

It's not the people? it is about our people in a certain way. Not recognizing our government was the problem, US citizens met returning vets from the Vietnam conflict with indifference a lot of hostility...... and that is what Bruce Springsteen's song is about... this wrong recognition and a tribute to his friends that did and didn't make it back.

Johnny Cash never approved of the Vietnam War...but he sang for the troops regardless...many lost their lives for what?...you should be able to disagree with your governments' involvement in war without disrespecting those who served...Springsteen I feel is similar to Cash in this way...

Cheers

As Lou and Riz have said USA is more than just .....
(my words) the circus you do have "in town" now redclown

USA is made of beautiful and amazing land, people all types, great Teaching/ institutions, your gov....your culture, your cuisine...etc

If someone disagrees or disapprove of your gov policies (domestic and/or foreign)
that does not mean to hate USA
that means disagreeing/disapproving of your gov and both parties are very much the same.

Grow up Galrads!

Health care shout be given to all and that is very easy to understand why.

Imagine a country like a dairy farm, those cows are producing wealth so if one cow gets sick would it not be in the best interest of the farmer to care for his cow laugh kind of the analogy.

Hi ... there is no distinction for any of that in the op. We here in the USA are supposed to have.a Government of the people, by the people, for the people.
Be it known for all posterity, I refuse to ever grow up or lose my often misinterpreted sense of humor, or my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or respect for those friends of mine who were blindly misguided and served and died or beat up during the Vietnam conflict and those conflicts which followed so that others (who can care less about my friends or other vets) can freely use this USA web site and criticize the USA on it.... tongue

How come you never went to war?
Wouldn't that had made you proud as well?

or is it easier to support wars from the comfort and safety of your living room?

Err, lifesadream, you might want to give lindsy a break with the go to war thing. The USA hasn't provided equal opportunity in this are until more recently....

hmmm Wouldn't it be fun if the active CS forum users could have at least one lunch together at the same time?
Or maybe we all could have it at your favorite restaurant one week, another week at lindsyjones, or trues etc etc
