EXACTLY! WHAT'S the "need"? WHY would you lie to someone who couldn't affect/effect your life, anyway? 
It's only when "things" get a little "closer to home" that someone MIGHT start getting a little "jittery"! Unless they're just innate, habitual liars! In which case you BETTER NOT believe ANYTHING they say! But "I" have a PROBLEM, keeping my lies straight! I KNOW this! So, just to keep fro making myself look ANY MORE stupid (than I do, NATURALLY), I just DON'T lie! If I have to lie to you, to keep you around, you're NOT a person "I" WANT around, ANYWAY!
