In the cold war of the early 1990, four Titans of History came together and produced the greatest and most benign counter-revolution of modern history and it couldn't have happened without them.Enormous risks to them and their political standing. I believe it was a selfless and a remarkable act of forgiveness!

Reagan can claim the most important achievement of statesmanship of any American President
Gorbachev of any Russian
Pope John Paul II of any Pope
Margaret Thatcher of any Prime Minister

Is it just an oven or is there a hob as well? I thought it might be worth going a bit secular and consulting The Lord of the Rings, or maybe The Hobbit.

pedro27: I said me being aware of God's presents I would do the correct thing.

st.peter was jesus's first pope.....wrote in the bible........roman catholic is the real church

The Orthodox faith,is the true representative in the Christian religion.
In the beginning of Christianity, the Christian religion was, under the Orthodox umbrella.
Then started breaking up, to Catholic,Protestant and to many other denominations.
There is even the FIRST in Christianity, the King or the Queen, to be the Head of
the Christian faith, and NOT the Archbishop.

I have read it but that didn't ring any bells, but it was a long time ago.

he showed you an example of forgiveness, but to actually teach someone how to forgive is more of a personal path. We all have to learn how to forgive in our own way. The first step is healing from the pain it caused you. I think it would be easier to forgive someone that hurt you once than to forgive someone that hurt you for years.

I was mad at a co-worker/supervisor a few weeks ago and rightfully so.
I was mad at him for over a week.
Now I just think he is an arshole.
That means I am somewhat forgiving.angel

galrads: What would you do if I smacked you and your family around until you were all senseless so I could just drink your pale ale?

You could organise that as a CS Event ... and make a fortune even before selling the global broadcast rights for pay per view to SKY !

forgiveness is a pretty crazy notion only simple minded persons engage in
some other being cause you harm they have created whatever karma they involved themselves in, we should therefore generate strong compassion directed towards that other being impending certain consequences

without causes there wouldn't be experience, our experiences arrives in direct consequence to our own past and present activities. According to the Mahayana Buddhist philosophy “Form is empty. Emptiness is form. Emptiness is not other than form; form is also not other than emptiness. And though Buddhism has views similar to other religions, (like ten commandments) Buddhist philosophy (Dharma the path) is anything that causes our delusions, our disturbing thoughts, to subside; it is anything that brings us peace of mind and liberation from confusion and suffering.
Developing compassion is essential, blaming others for our hurtful experiences is not constructive as our experience has its causes, and anger doesn't produce peace of mind its the total opposite to taking responsibility for the cause of our suffering, our own self cherishing mind... Buddhist path (Dharma) is antidote to our ill's and think just forgiveness fails to explain our own shortcomings in relation to the object of forgiveness, but probably I suppose a good part start towards meaningful understanding of our own ignorance....

“Form is empty. Emptiness is form. Emptiness is not other than form; form is also not other than emptiness. In the same way, feeling, discrimination, compositional factors, and consciousness are empty.

karma and emptiness, are the heart of Dharma. Karma is the law of cause and effect, and emptiness is the ultimate nature of reality, devoid of all misconceptions.
