I guess I haven't thought much about any kind of acting, since I'm rubbish at remembering lines........but, Helen Mirren has always floated my boat, and Peter Greenway has done some amazing films....so if a remake of 'the cook, the thief, he's wife and her lover' got a remake, I'd be up for the meat storage locker scene...
