daniela777: As far as Relationships are concerned, what do you prefer?

Do you prioritize and allocate time for some special people?

What about virtual friends/acquaintances?

Do you chat with only one at the time so that you can focus on that particular person, or....
Can you manage several at the same time, each for a different purpose?

Some of my favourites:

"A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself"

"Friends are like Flowers in the Garden of Life and they need to be nurtured, cared for and tended to"

It's absolutely quality over quantity for me, always has been.

I do prioritize and allocate time for a few, select, special people. This includes a handful of people on CS who have been good friends for a number of years; most of them don't do any posting.

Acquaintances come and go, virtually and IRL. I've met, in person, virtual friends/acquaintances from CS and other sites. Some have remained friends and others have remained acquaintances.

The friends I have IRL are the same friends that I've had since childhood, with my oldest friendship dating back to 34 years. For whatever reason, the majority of my friends are guys - the same guy friends I've had since childhood. We see and talk to each other on a regular basis and I know if I need something, I can count on them to be there for me, and vice versa.

Some may require more one on one focus, than others. I can and will accommodate, accordingly.

Quantity has a quality of its own. None of the people here matter to me much individually but collectively they do. You're a break away from individuals who do matter, your quantity adds to the quality relationships.

I think it matters what stage of life you are in at the time, there are times i do not want to get close to anyone but i am feeling social. So i will just go around to different people telling jokes or just listening to what they have to say without saying anything about myself.

What stage of life? Do you mean age or/and ...?
Could you please elaborate?

I think I know what you mean but just wanted it confirmed?
