aries1234: Since when did the Earth orbit the Sun in 24 hours
You misquoted me...
mykingdomforanam: It takes about 24 hours for the earth to orbit the sun; but it takes about 230 million years for the sun to orbit the earth.

You misquoted yourself or didn't give tthe full quote
Thank you for taking the time to quote me correctly. It's easier to think straight, when you're not debating something someone wished you said, but you didn't.
Now that I'm not trying to correct a misquote, I can see, that was a mistake.
I was trying to describe time, the way we're taught in school; where a revolution of the sun is one day.
And the earth orbits the sun in a year.
And a cosmic or galactic year is the time it takes the sun and our solar system to orbit the milky way, which also means the sun orbits the earth, about every 230 million years.
Thanks again for correcting me without confusing the issue, by changing what I said.
I might've made the mistake; because, I was only trying to point out what we're taught about time.
My perception of time isn't limited to the orbits I used. I'm only talking in relative terms.
