When do you think the earth stopped orbiting the sun in about 24 hours?

I'm not disowning anything; and your statement is simple ad hominem, that does nothing to prove I'm wrong.

I didn't claim the earth orbits the sun I 24 hours....

mykingdomforanam: It takes about 24 hours for the earth to orbit the sun; but it takes about 230 million years for the sun to orbit the earth.
That's where you directly misquoted me.

I only addressed the part of my point that you took issue with, and misquoted.

If you'd like to question anything else I said, please stop misquoting me.

I said, "It takes "ABOUT" 24 hours for the earth to orbit the sun."

You misquoted me so soon, we haven't been able to discuss your other mistakes.

You still haven't acknowledged your mistake; but I have better things to do, than help you with remedial English.

And do you stand by that?

Harbal: And do you stand by that?
No.

Thank you for taking the time to quote me correctly. It's easier to think straight, when you're not debating something someone wished you said, but you didn't.

Now that I'm not trying to correct a misquote, I can see, that was a mistake.

I was trying to describe time, the way we're taught in school; where a revolution of the sun is one day.

And the earth orbits the sun in a year.

And a cosmic or galactic year is the time it takes the sun and our solar system to orbit the milky way, which also means the sun orbits the earth, about every 230 million years.

Thanks again for correcting me without confusing the issue, by changing what I said.

I might've made the mistake; because, I was only trying to point out what we're taught about time.

My perception of time isn't limited to the orbits I used. I'm only talking in relative terms.
