I believe every person to be a spiritual being, it's just some are not aware of it.
So maybe the question should be...Are you spiritually aware?
It's difficult to image a religious person not to have a degree of spiritual awareness, whereas a spiritually aware person could have no interest in religion whatsoever.
As you say, using such vague labels can indeed be misleading.

6. Do they revere the environment and all creatures on earth?
7. Do they do good deeds for society, donate to charities, do volunteer work etc (mostly anonymously) without being attached to the results?
8. Or many other virtuous things?
The list above should not be regarded as “red herrings” which “must” be pursued. They are only suggestions/prompts.

There comes a time when we're asking ourselves lots of questions such as..
Where do I come from?

Where do I go from here?
Etc..
