there are no posts that hurt my psyche but I can give as good as I get...now I may choose to respond or not it really depends....and people chose to spread stuff about me....the ones who know would either ask or already know me better than whatever someone chose to spread...in other words I don't care....someone elses version of me comes from their own head and has nothing to do with me....

The other day I was chatting on some thread of a local forum, when a man jumped in and started insulting and swearing like crazy. He didn't like what we were talking about and - instead of saying that in some normal manner - he started acting like some lunatic. Just a day before that event he was writing a comment after comment how people had become impolite and rude and uncivilized. And then he behaved just the same as the ones he had previously criticized!
I was so angry that I asked him if he spoke like that in real life, too, or pretended to be nice and polite (one of the "civilized ones" he was so eagerly talking about) while using us (his forum "buddies") as a trash can for his anger and rage. He didn't reply, just went away. But I got really really upset. It happened 3 days ago and I'm still upset.
Something like that can ruin your day on a place where you came to have some fun, chat and relax.

You will find a lot of people "mirroring", as they will accuse you of their habits and actions. It is a very well-known psychological fact, and the ones complaining the most, are the ones most at fault.
