If space is infinite and within that infinity stars are born but don't die they do become something else, usually either a red giant or or if high enough mass, a black hole. Given that that is an excepted premise then as we are composed of the same matter what could we become?

I find it interesting that the greatest mass in the universe is an anonymous monster like the city the greatest mass on earth. When the masses are so great you actually become invisible although collectively overwhelming in effect.

Anyway that's what happens to you; dead weight, gravity. Unless you're remembered in history.

The city like the black hole spares no one, as the city dominates the horizon it draws all life into itself leaving behind a barren waste of space.

And in such a city-centred culture a Buddha or Socrates will develop. The rise of the impersonal and the impartial takes place in the great masses at the peak of development, the sterile replace the fertile as people begin to behave more self-consciously rather than instinctively they then see the only way out as death in some description. Blind to the destruction that surrounds it the aged city presents an ever-greater drawing inwards ; body and soul, expansiveness of mind and spirit is replaced by meditation, children are replaced by hobbies, the young are replaced by the old, riches are replaced by debt and the light is replaced by the darkness.

Einstein said time is a dimension. Therefore nothing ceases to be. And if you try to remember how things were when you were 5, you will realize that the past is as much a mystery as the future.

A very good point TTKSpectre and I know that pure energy never dissipates but I am trying to get an insight into why people that we either 'go to heaven' or 'there is nothing'. I understand this is all part of a belief system but I would like to know whether people truly consider that there may be alternatives to the heaven beliefs.

You are spot on correct ... but just a little off.

Space and Time are one .. infinite .. and static.

It is 'life' that moves through Space and Time .. making the appearance of past - present and future.

If you speed up ... or slow down ... there is not life there. Well not life as we know it.

In regards to your visioning .. please consider that humans are born of water and breath water ... then to be born into air and breath air (a different density of liquid like every thing else and operates under the laws of fluid dynamics). ... well move that from water to air and then upward ... if you will .. to light and then breath in light .. or live in the light.

To really help you nail this down I would have to go into ... when people die ... their light body leaves their earth suit .. to live in the light at the speed of light ... were time stops.

Then they become immortal ... so to speak .. as time stops since they are now one with time and space .. which I pointed out is static and one.

It is humans that move through time ... as here you can change .. you can move things about and grow.

On the other side of life .. where one is immortal and one with Time ... you can not grow or change .. and it is always the same.

You are not really there for an Eternity .. in Hell or Heaven .. so to speak ... as you can die in hell and die in heaven .. be reborn in a body .. living in time.

So you can grow up a bit more ...

I call this place we live in Purgatory ... here .. you must go through your pain to find your happiness.

Most people run away from pain .. as they live in fear.

Few people live in love.

Hope that helps some.

Sam

I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Oh, ho, ho
Now, don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
The wind

I don't know what an excepted premise is exactly. Have you spent any time in the military or seen someone's head blown open and its brains blown clean out and to smithereens? The human brain is the only organ that can figure out how it works. That blown brain's life is gone. Thats why the military's primary job is to teach military service personnel to kill efficiently. This life is not a dress rehearsal. Enjoy the moment....
