The one thing most men hate to hear her say is......We need to talk.
Some men don't like to discuss the problems in a relationship. They know what the problems are, they just prefer to ignore it and hope it'll get better all by itself before it turns into what they would call "serious".
And if you are lucky enough to get them to sit down and hear you out you can be sure they are hoping she's almost done so he can go back to what he was doing.
