Selenite: How much rubbish do you create in a week?

I've just disposed or mine so can take a photo, but it was one full plastic supermarket type carrier bag ...

Next Friday I'll post a picture of how much rubbish I created in one week!

Are you up to the challenge? Post a picture of how much rubbish you create in one week!
I put my small rubbish bin out every 3-4 months. Recycle bin about twice or three times a year. I most buy fresh so no packaging. Paper I burn.wine

Not sure how to post pictures, but it takes me 2-3 weeks to fill a grocery store sized bag, or longer in the summer. A standard size garbage can with a bin liner can take 2 months or more to fill.

Being winter I don't do as much composting, seeing as I can't get anywhere near the compost bin with all the snow. laugh Everything else gets recycled, which I've been doing for decades, long before it became "fashionable" to do so.

kidatheart: The only place I would use it is right in front of my door, or on the driveway, meaning it would get tracked in. Not just by me, but also by the pets, and that's why I don't use salt or any other ice melting products either. I don't want them licking any of that off their paws.
It sure don't work in a entryway, I don't have any animals to track it. I do have a uphill driveway that ices up, that is where I use it.. I got curious and looked it up...Not sure if any of these ideas are of benefit to you..

A box about the size of a laundry basket.. You must have real rubbish in Spain ? I have a cousin who works on the rubbish trucks and just this weekend gone, he brought a porta loo to my place that is in really good condition.. the reason they are being dumped is because the tanks in them have gone past their expirey date, i'm still thinking up an idea of the best to put them to use..
The people in the cities waste so many good things its really not funny..

Oh yeah! I agree with you! I have a beautiful bathroom mirror with lights I retrieved from down the street next to the rubbish collection container. I painted it and it's totally gorgeous! Here we tend to recycle things like that between friends rather than throw away.
Flea markets/car boot sales/garage sales are big her in this area ...

The food waste by the big companies is really bad, just because the labels on food packets are not centered they throw them out.. canned food if there is a dent in the can they are thrown out, there was a team of volenteers that use to go through supermarket skip bins finding perfectly good and handing the food out to the poor and homeless people.. but i think the govt has put a stop to that, or it was people complainning that its not healthy..

In France they passed a new law forbidding supermarkets from throwing away food.... I'm not sure how they organise it ...
