Is your 'online persona' the real you? Are you the same character in both places - on social media and in real life? Nothing you divulge will be held against you in a court of law.

I would say that this is the worst version of myself. The least interested in making you happy although I avoid the fights now by completely avoiding you.

I'm disappointed. Considering the extended opaque monologues you usually post, I get a miserable two lines as an exit. But hey, I'll take what I can get. Of course, part of the deal is, I expect you to keep your word.
I am very shy in the real world almost to the point that I'm an introvert. I would never discuss my personal life with someone offline the way I have here. Being introverted has caused problems when I was working because I wasn't a social butterfly. People saw me as someone who thought she was better than others. That wasn't true. I just preferred to keep to myself. I was there to do a job, not to do chatter with people that I knew would eventually talk about me when I walked away from them. I saw them talk about others behind their back. My way didn't give them ammunition to do it to me.

Silence or a pause allows people to inject their own prejudice into your space. That is the case in conversation. It's also the case in social media/blogs, chat rooms.
Over time, our posts truly reveal who we really are.
It's an education and some academics are writing thesis on the subject.

I'm in complete agreement with you secretagent09 as I was the same and thought the same as you do as it's very true.
