kyz249: it's not a very serious thinking
:)
many times happened that i got the mails: i am christian and i wish to find a christian god fearing partner... etc etc
so as i don't like to leave people without answer, i explain that unfortunatelly not christian so they won't get their happiness with me :)... and the answer I get is : i believe that the religion is not important , only love matters

ok
:)
what to think about that person who gives up so quickly his principal wishes ?? :D
and how is possible to speak about "our love" when nothing yet happens between people?

Maybe all these is a joke

MustangWriter: I believe religion is very important.

True religion pure and un-defiled is a paradigm unknown to most.

Suppose you only knew three modes of transportation: cars, buses and trains, but you knew nothing about airplanes.
I told you that I can fly as high as an eagle to lofty heights and faster than any train. You would think "Yeah, sure."
Then I invited you to join me and we went to a remote landing strip. We climb into the small airplane and I start up the plane as we roll down the run way.
Your not impressed. You've ridden in cars, buses and trains.
But we begin to go faster... you start to worry because you see what looks like the end of the runway and you cry out "Stop!"
But just then I pull back on the throttle and we lift off... moments later... high as the clouds.
Your paradigm is now changed forever.

So it is with religion. Religion that is pure and un-defiled. You can never again understand those who believe all there is are cars, buses, and trains, because you know now... there is so much more.
I understand your point but unfortunately your experience does not prove the existence of God.

There is no need to prove there is God.
I know it by faith.

The definition of faith is 'a hope for things not seen but are true' (Heb 11:1)

Faith is the foundation of all action.

Another example (if I may)

You are sitting in your chair. It's evening time, the sun is going down. It's getting dark outside. You realize that it's time to turn on your porch light.

Doing so requires you to get up, out of your comfy chair , walk across the room and then flip on a switch.
In doing so you have FAITH that because of YOUR ACTIONS the porch light will come on. It may not. The bulb could be burnt out.

But you have FAITH that it will come on, so by faith you do the action that causes the porch light to come on.
So it is with God. I believe that by faith and my actions I know God exists.
You are saying, I refuse to believe (have faith) to get up out of my comfy chair walk across the room flip a switch (action) because the porch light bulb may be burned out.

Two entirely different paradigms. Nothing to prove, but everything to gain, Even if you have to replace a bulb.

not sure , it's not a matter of being feeble minded when one is searching of "depth of what one lives". But religion + closed minded person (can be called stupid) is a very dangerous mixture :)
