A blend of backhanded compliments with the truth. Compliments that grow slightly more sincere as the evening goes on punctuated by the cusp of offensive.
To me, the best compliment would be someone who doesn't really say anything but... Looks into my eyes with admiration.. While listening to me in awe.. And who laughs at my jokes.
Then..he can say that he's attracted to my mind and loves my smile or laughter.
LeeCharming: I can compliment a woman...so she would have a spring in her step and feel real good about herself
I distinctly remember once walking away with a spring in my step and feeling really good about myself... but weirdly enough it was not after hearing a compliment... he did say something though ...

why did he let you... beat him at squash and offer to buy you a meal

After 1 month he wanted "a commitment" and said "go away and don't come back till you know what you want"
And so... I walked away with a spring in my step and feeling really good about myself because I instantly knew what I wanted and I didn't like how he handled the conversation
Today a male I had never seen before sent me an email expressing his concern for the fires in California. I thanked him and then he asked if Covid-19 is in my house and I said no it isn't.
In his next mail he said "you are a nice lady". I didn't do anything extraordinary except to be polite to him and thank him for his concern.
He was 51 years old, young enough to be my grandson. His intention was just to show concern. And my intention was just to be "a nice lady".

It's good to read...some men are behaving themselves on CS and acting like concerned gents
It is possible...for some very attractive looking women....to feel repelled by endless compliments on their physical beauty...but those women have a lots attention from men and plenty of power...cause their looks can get them ahead...no doubt about it...
Instead of resenting compliments...they would instead be better...learning to love themselves and understanding...others will love the way they look and having people desire them....would be one giant compliment...for a good number of women...who don't get those kind of compliments and attention
