Diversity is a very broad term.
For example. I can wish that all people on this planet were kind, compassionate, tolerant and full of understanding. However, we know that it is not true. People differ among themselves, so there are also a lot of those who are mean, unkind and intolerant among us. Accepting them and thus respecting our diversity can be very challenging.
And this is just one example...

Someone's religious belief might be to convert everyone into their faith, for example. That means that the person does not respect other people's choices. When you are confronted with that person - what will you do? Accept their beliefs or protect your own?
