Marmalade55: You have roused my interest, bod, and I hope it won't end up costing me money.

I might do some research.
Saves money also. Wont take long to recoup your outlay, around £25-£30.

It sounds like you could be descended from royalty. Have you ever researched your family history? hmmm

Money isn't the issue, bod, the price could be £35, or even £37.50, and it wouldn't matter to me. What the deal breaker would be is does the thing need cleaning after every use, and how much trouble is it to clean. Cleaning stuff is at the top of my least favourite things to do list. uh oh

bodleing2: I've got an air fryer, i'm going to try it with food also.
wave I make a lot of different foods in my air fryer including toast. I don't have a toaster so I set the air fryer at 400 for 1 minute.

But he would have to be King of modern science to be royal.

The one i have is really easy to clean, the basket and pan just lifts off so it can all be immersed in water. In fact i usually clean mine while it's still hot before i sit down to eat.

And could one get away with not cleaning it? Or perhaps just occasionally. hmmm

Mine is easy to clean too. I don't immerse it in water when it is hot cause I'm afraid it will warp. If I cooked something that left a lot of residue I soak it after it cools to loosen stuff for about 5 minutes and then put it in the dishwasher. Comes out very clean each time. I haven't used my oven since I bought it which is over a year.

It depends what youve been cooking. If its something like bacon I would always clean it afterwards, but you can put a slice of stale bread under the basket to soak up any fat. Bit i find it so easy to clean i dont bother with that ' handy tip' that I read about. Sometimes i do leave it though if I'm not cook8ng anything fatty.

Yes, that would go nicely with the bacon.

I will certainly look into it, bod.

Yes. Tonight I am heating something that is frozen. It's not fatty nor does it have a lot of crumbs. I won't clean it because it was just a vessel to heat something to get crispy. If I make salmon, steak, burgers, etc. I always clean it that night.

The brand name of mine is Cosori. I like it because it has a square basket which is good when you are cooking a lot of chicken wings.

I have a lightly up kettle. The lights change colour as the water temperature increases. I'll sometimes put the transistor radio on and make a cuppa in the dark then imagine I'm in a discotheque.

I also have a ninja foodie. It doesn't light up but I find it perfect for cooking the range of Greggs products found in my local Iceland store. It's also easy to clean so I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who found cleaning to be one of their least favourite chores.
