Bid64: I'm glad things turned out well for you, my little dog Tommy Bowe is the same nearly push you out, and when im sitting watching the telly he'd sit on ya,
I got two 120 lb + dogs that think they are lapdogs. The little one is usually the one that gets in my spot but when the big one gets there, its a challenge to get him out of it

So far, no, not really. It's not that I'm discontented, but more like I've had obstacles (e.g. Covid pandemic), and challenges that slow me down, and at least one that makes me feel as though I'm in 'limbo, altogether. I believe that I have more 'living' to do, and I could only really decide on whether I'm satisfied/dissatisfied with it, just before or even after it ends.

Nules: I am now satisfied with what I have achieved in my life, not into material things, but the life changing things that happened to me, made me stronger and to look at life in a better way. My husband died by suicide leaving my 8 kids and myself to try and make a life without him, it was challenging at times but also we made great memories trying! My kids are all grown up and did well for themselves, of which I am proud to say. I now have 3 daughters, 5 sons, 3daughter in laws, 2 son in laws, and 13 grandchildren soon to be 14! I have nothing to complain about as each and every one of them are healthy and happy

It's the most the tragic life I know and being this interested in history, politics and philosophy doesn't come from nowhere. Because my life wouldn't have been particularly tragic for the 1930s. Compare yourself to people today and you will only feel enfeebled and hard done by.

It's a slippery one though is life satisfaction in the way that you become more satisfied with a life that is on paper worse. In the modern world there is a shortage of terrifying dangers to survive in a sense we are dissatisfied because of how easy it was, but we've got to restore the balance.

In a similar way to youth being wasted on the young I say that privilege is wasted on the privileged. The last thing that today's infantilised aging population has done is mellow with age precisely down to the lack of terrifying dangers. Youth is wasted on the young, privilege wasted on the privileged, and safety is wasted on the precious no matter how much longer people are going to live it can paradoxically only feel more threatened.------ This thread is Archived ------
Yes, I am totally satisfied with my life.
There were some achievements and some failures. I's in love and I've been loved. I've learned a lot and still have a drive to learn some more. I like my job and can afford my hobbies. And the best thing: I'm not tired of it yet :)
