jagtom: But do you operate on your potatoes first?
Potatoes are high on fast carbohydrates, which means they spike your insulin pretty quick, therefore the blood sugar level rises. No need to be an ignorant arsehole...
Never mind his ignorance...I had to change my diet due to health concerns...funny my body does not crave cheese...meat and various other foods...just feeling better after a few months...I thinking of allergies but at least I am feeling better...you do you and forget the nay saying...

Thank you, Loulou, it seems that being conscious about health makes one look like a pretentious snob in our fellow forum experts eyes. I am amazed how many people have health problems but refuse to give up on their "treats"... It's just food and most of the time food you don't really need in order to live normally.
I've had "Poutaine" lately, a few times. French fries, gravy, and cheese curds. Also, I like "fry sauce", but have never found one as good as Arctic Circle restaurants made. I like them with blue cheese dressing, tartar sauce, also, a local pub here serves them with cheese, chili, or both, and I've actually had fries with steak sticks--

Your revealing your lack of respect, or have I got it wrong again
Orange sauce: catsup, mixed with mayo. (I didn't use that other word, hehe. ;) I usually add several dashes of cayenne pepper too. MmmMmmmm! Fries cooked in an air-fryer, of course.
Yes, that is a proper word. That's the only one I grew up using. See the following:

I used to love Arctic Circle. I grew up with them and never ate a better burger when I was young: Ranch burger with Chocolate Shake, mmmm. But that isn't Kosher, and I can't eat such things anymore. After eating at Arctic Circle, I never could eat at McDonalds, ew! The taste of their shakes made food travel the wrong direction!
I guess they sold them all now. I haven't been to one in decades.

I really don’t see the whole chips with cheese thing. I think they don’t go together. Poutaine sounds disgusting to me. My Canadian friend from another site said he loved it but I always thought it sounded disgusting and so unhealthy.

Lack of respect?! I said I don't eat potatoes, you mocked me if I operate on them before that. I have no tolerance towards arrogance, that's for sure...
bcjenny: Mayonnaise for sure having been born in Holland, I have never seen it any other way...
I remember my German mum gleefully and victoriously producing a jar of mayonnaise from her shopping bag for the first time in 1970's England. Up until then, she'd been dipping her chips in 'salad cream', a concoction inspired by WW2 rationing.
I'm not sure British (or possibly American if it was the sugary Heinz stuff) mayonnaise was the destination she had hoped it would be, but the journey was an experience of a lifetime.
