I like to have fun, but I stopped having fun so I made a change, it took a while to come back to my senses but everything smoothed out and though I still smoke pot, I'm not missing the hard stuff at all and considering my situation, pretty happy. It was worth it.

I think that it is a bit of an error to be too regretful of something you could have done (that you wanted to) but life just got in the way and now it's rather late--however, I'll share one of the biggest of mine: Beginning the junior year of high school, I became fascinated with Australia. It so happened that a girl I attended school with had lived there with her family for about 8 years. I was working part-time, so started saving money right and left. This girl's family got me in touch with an American family that had fully emigrated, now Australian citizens. They lived in Brisbane. They were quite willing to be my host family. When the time was coming to get the passport, etc...the consulate general in S.F. called and told me point blank that I could not obtain a work visa, and to go over and attempt to work cause my arrest. The family, however, insisted that I come, claiming they could remedy it from that side, once I got there. My family was against me going and possibly getting into serious trouble. I've always wished I had trusted that family, and went anyway.
