Well, all body functions happen without any mental assertion whatsoever. The greater majority of activities that include more than you have listed, happen automatically with the brain or the mind not doing anything at all. The brain also dies while spirit continues on so brains have little to no association with any mind. Because our eyes are in our heads we tend to think that this is where oir consciousness resides but it has been shown that our hearts have the same neural connections as our brains do.
