Judge Gabriel Gorenstein said Bankman-Fried will be under “strict” supervision following his release to his parents’ house until his trial next year.
According to reports, the bond was secured by equity in his family home and assets from his parents and “two other individuals.”

FTX was launched within a couple of weeks of Biden running for President. Ultimately - tens of millions of dollars were laundered through FTX to the campaign's of politicians - the vast majority to Democrats but some to establishment-type Republicans as well (IE anti-MAGA). Sam Bankman-Fried makes Bernie Madoff look like a 3 card monte huckster. Absolute evil. But given that establishment politicians still have a stranglehold on Congress, will we see accountability any time soon? Let's see

Captain Q Has misstated the distribution of lobby money. I have been screaming about lobbies in Washington on here for years and got nothing in the way of comments. Now all of a sudden some interest? "His largesse to Democratic causes was surpassed over the past two years only by that of George Soros, the liberal financier. Bankman-Fried has claimed that he gave just as much to GOP causes, but through nonprofit groups not required to disclose their donors. Much of the money Bankman-Fried gave went to super PACs. These groups, which can accept unlimited individual and corporate contributions, must remain formally separate from campaigns as they run ads or sponsor other communications supporting or opposing candidates"
