bodleing2: Just spotted your post. Funny you mentioned my surgery being cancelled. On the 18th of January when you posted ihis I was in the intensive care unit after the surgery which took place on the 16th. All went well and I'm now fully recovered.
I miss mindfful also, we chatted on here and on the telephone many times. You can see how I spelt her name, she told me the 'double ff' was a typo which she could not change
I think about jeepers also, I don't think anyone has ever been liked on here as much as he was, it was a sad day when he passed, although not unexpected. I was trying to remember the name of his dog....it will come to me.

Claayar from England is another one. She was so funny. The French girl with the beret. I always joked that if she didn't want to go out with me, then I would date her beret. A girl from Tennessee who I met in person, Sheila. She was the first person I talked to on the forums in 2005. Candy who I went out with for a couple of months until she moved. Taboon was opinionated and always shook it up in the forums. There was a guy from England who had the goofiest threads. I just can't remember his name but he was a jolly fellow. Something like Gullyfield. There was the girl from Virginia Beach who every guy was gaga over, and she was so fun to talk to. And how could I forget Vicki who claimed she was disabled and wrote poems. She was my first scammer
Jeepers is missed along with a guy from Boston, Dan who also passed away. Sorry if this bores people but you have to understand how different CS was way back. It was so active and fun. You actually couldn't keep up with how fast the threads were. And there were way more people in the threads. You actually wanted to get on the site as soon as you could. There were meet ups and pictures posted of everyone having a good time. They were mostly in the UK. I wanted to meet people and travelled to do so. There were way less scammers too, except for Vikki. I was on a group phone call with five other members, almost unheard of 15 years ago. Different and very memorable times. The people here now are great, but it will never be the same...it was kind of magical.

Yeah the forums are dead but I enjoy the forums like this compared to the last three years having to put up with trolls & drugged up drunks.
I have plenty of conversations & good laughs right here in the real world anyway..I always have.
