You're correct loulou. Have you seen it by any chance?

There's kind of an interesting story of how I discovered this movie. I was 14 and I lived on East 85th St in Manhattan. There were about 5 movie theaters on 86th St and 1 day around 1954 I decided to play hookie from school. I took a walk up 86th St. This
movie was being shown in 1 of the theaters and as I was looking at the photos of scenes from the movie the ticket guy asked me if I would like to see the movie. I said "Sure, but I don't have any money." I guess people weren't flocking into the theater to watch a Japanese film in B&W so he gave me a free ticket. I went in and saw the movie on the big screen.

Dr Zhivago ... starring the Bridge and Backgammon playing, cleft chin Omar Sharif who died 8 years ago. Two Swiss girls came to Interflora in Christchurch about 1970, neither speaking English, and as a slightly German/French-abled youth I was appointed to accompany them. Both lovely young women, I took one of them to see Dr Zhivago, but it was the other one I actually fancied to everyone's surprise. They duly returned to Bern and nothing transpired, but the scenes of winter and snow-swept steppes have never faded from memory. Yet the movie does not rank high for me.

Not into a lot of movies but The Shawshank Redemption was a favorite along with one called Trainspotting. Trainspotting is a movie that anyone thinking about trying drugs should watch this movie before doing it.

A Man Called Otto. If you ever thought about suicide, this is a good movie to watch. In America the National Suicide and Crisis Hotline is 988. professor
