I am reading some posts and shaking my head in effing disbelieve.
How stupid one should be to not see that what's happening in Gaza IS a genocide and several political figures of the Israeli government have said that this IS what they want and do.
Clear up Gaza from Palestinians.
Comparison to Ukraine is laughable.
And by the way the conflict there is at its end, very soon as well.

Len05: It is still ethnic cleansing of an area.

Who said you need to kill everyone to get that definition?

They are bombing their houses, schools, hospitals, reporters, boats, ....
Stopping the fuel, power, water, food, medicines, ...
They are making the area unliveable at the moment.
And trying to push as many people out.

It is a bit the same as the decennia before just with more bombs and less basic necessities now.
For years people leaving Gaza weren't allowed back in.

Israel wants the people out and the territory under their ownership.
yeah, that's why Israel left Gaza in '05,not even leaving an Israeli-fingernail.
The Farms and Horticultural Establishments they left intact for the Arabs were trashed by the Arab-Palestinians,instead of making use of it!doh

Grandsiozzie: Many call it a genocide. You on the genocide train then maybe,
as in my book ethnic cleansing is a bout making a group homogenious,
at least more so.

But don't worry I get it. You just used that word cos it's loaded.
I understand.
Let’s assume the bombing stops tomorrow. Most homes are uninhabitable – where do you send all these people? How do you provide for them? Where are the shops, the schools, the universities, the hospitals?

It will take years to even get to a place resembling a life, where do people go in the meantime?

So I suppose what you are talking about is defending the use of the word genocide?

No I am saying that the country is almost uninhabitable as Gaza has reached the point of no return,or do you disagree . Where and what are all these displaced people who were told to get out returning to ? A country that is now almost uninhabitable.sigh

The IDF admitted they killed hostages...

Hamas blamed IDF for bombing a hospital and killing many innocent civilians...

The media went with this...

IDF had to show footage to provide proof that they killed their own...

As far as rebuilding Gaza..let Iran pay for it...

Provide something besides weapons to kill their own...

It will be rebuilt, I'm sure even Elon Musk will personally pitch in.
What worries me is the possibility that at the end of the day Hamas may still be speaking on behalf of this supressed population.
If so Israel been too weak on them gazenians, not to heavy. That would be the worst outcome.

Ten_of_cupss: Are you deaf to what is Israel is saying?
It is not my job to dissect their methods but when someone is telling you "I want to wipe these people off of the face of Earth" how come your hearing translates it to something positive?
Here is a smart thing to do when in doubt: look more at actions than words.
I did the same with Trump and him I love. He did so many good things you know,
but not always so balanced in every speach, have to admit that.
Besides, who has not by now learned the Knesset has wings.

Ten_of_cupss: What you say makes sense when looking at the situation in Ukraine.
Doesn't it?
The neighbour endangering your security and committing crimes against minorities.
But when Russia reacted it was called aggressor.
In Gaza we have a bit different story me thinks and it is not the fault of the neighbouring countries that remained unfazed .
A looong Western hand is to blame.
No, you're wrong. Completely wrong too.
Right about Ukraine but wrong here.

Why don't youb trust Tel Aviv, tell me straight out what you see as problem with them Israelis.
I'll be watching your answer very carefully, please don't disappont now.
Have Jews been a problem in your life before or something. What seems to be the problem?

There you have it, a suppressed nation in the centre of a war between Israel and Hamas. You can rebuild bricks and mortar but how do you rebuild people and regain trust.

sigh

Quote from Benjamin Netanyahu

"After we have eradicated Hamas and Gaza will be demilitarised under the control of Israel there will be no-one who will educate their children to annihilate Israel," he added.

What does that say to you ?

I know, it sucks. But keep in mind this been going on at least 18 years.
This is Isreal trying to bring about a lasting change.

If they give up, the isolation in form of walls, barbed wires and a closed off harbour will intensífy, not slacken which is what we all hope for here. Gaza can be great given a firm helping hand but demands must be raised to them this time. This Hamas misrule can not go on no more. The people musttake control of their own future. Is that possible? It least give it one chance before isolating them worse than before.
U see Egypt will not save them. Best Gaza can do now is select Israel friendly rulers.
I really do hope so can happen.

Sounds good to me.
Like Ukraine they should not have no army. Lay down weapons.

Just trust Israel. Let them have overrule of the area
and you will have just about enough self governance to call it a state still.
Iceland, Costa Rica and Andorra has no military neither, to name a few.

Ten, I don't know what to say other than:

I trust them, especially when something serious is on the line.

Here's a good read if you are interested. You'll need to copy and paste the link to read it.Seems they are already in control and before this latest development.

Lol
Did Israel leave Gaza behind in 2005?
Do you personally believe things might get better for the Palsetinians if they start being just a litte bit more friendly to Israel? And why are Amnesty saying nothing about Iranian influence on motivation of the young boys of Palestine (in lack of a more precise term) to continue their organized crime that even their parents at home has no saying over.

No until Gaza/West Bank write a decrete that Israel is now a friend not a foe I can understand Israel needs to keep this stuff inder control. Still... despite this.... Oct.7 happened.
Does that tell you something?

Len.

There is no Israelian occupation. Nowhere.
That's a lie.

The nearest one could say is calling it 'apartheid looking' tendencies
in parts of the west bank, though even that is a strech.
But here is the good news: any sign of apartheid will be lifted as soon as unfriendly Palestinians lay down weapons, accept Israel as a state and in general start behaving as responsible adults.

So there is good hope here. Very easily fixed actually, if only people like you can start putting some pressure on them Palestinains to cut all bonds to hostile Arab countries like Iran and straighten out their own young boot boys a la Hamas, now.

Israel still controls the Gaza strip even after 2005. Do some homework on where Gaza's main water and electricity comes from and how they have struggled for years with poor quality water and a lack of electricity.

You have a fixed mindset whereas I try to see both sides . Yes Hamas may be behind a lot of this conflict but empathy must surely be given to the innocents just trying to exist or do you presume that the whole nation are terrorists.

And likud has a decree that no Palestinian state was allowed on their Jewish land.

"""
The Right of the Jewish People to the Land of Israel (Eretz Israel)
a. The right of the Jewish people to the land of Israel is eternal and indisputable and is linked with the right to security and peace; therefore, Judea and Samaria will not be handed to any foreign administration; between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.

b. A plan which relinquishes parts of western Eretz Israel, undermines our right to the country, unavoidably leads to the establishment of a "Palestinian State," jeopardizes the security of the Jewish population, endangers the existence of the State of Israel. and frustrates any prospect of peace.
""""

Ok you asked for it:
I do think the whole nation is terrorists. And the water was from wells in Gaza that Hamas dug up with international money funds, but then Israel bombed the wells out of spite and many children became sick.
lol giggle

Isreal been too nice too long.
That is the problem and now they have to pay for that.
