I prefer guys who are healthy, few extra lbs. is fine, better than too thin. You say overweight, that is too vague.

If he has trouble getting around though such as bike riding for example, I don't think there would be much basis for a relationship with him, but could definitely be friends.

Nope, sure wouldn't...

Went through that "has too be a perfect 10" a
long time ago, "like in high school". I look
for what they have to offer me mentally.
Much nicer...

Besides we all age and let's face it our
looks will not last forever. But a wonderful
personality can last a lifetime.
No brainer to me...
thumbs up wink

I like a man with some meat on his bones. What lady wants a guy thinner than her?

If you judge a book by it's cover you might not meet a very special person. You should get to know the person on the inside. I may not be skinny but.... i'm honest and caring and if you just looked at my looks you would miss out on that. So I say no it shouldn't matter but there are alot of shallow people out there.

Weight doesn't matter to me at all.. I'm over weight myself.. I was even heavier last year.. I've had men who were skinny thin & over weight men as well.. It's their personality, Do we click, have things
in common, these are things I look for when I meet him. I am who I am and the same goes for him. If he's beautiful on the inside, thats what counts for me...grin

I'd probably date a guy with a few pounds over norm, but
if you want me to be realllly honest, I might not if he were
obese because I know that I don't have any business trying
to change him into something different than what he is and
it would be in the back of my mind that he just wouldn't be
healthy carrying all the extra weight. I knowwwwww, that's
probably very superficial of me and I wish I didn't let
those kinds of things guide me. Forty lashes for me uh oh

I agree with you, a few pounds a a big healthy guy is great. Obese? Couldn't get into romantic involvement.

the weight itself wouldn't stop me from going out with him, but i would hope that he cared enough about himself to eat healthy and get some form of regular exercise. some people are naturally larger and that's all there is to it. i wouldn't care if he weighed 400 lbs, as long as he's healthy and has a great personality and is fun to be with.

i know how it feels to be overweight and overlooked by many. i would definitely give him a chance!!

Hmmm I've always "dieted"! I'm obssessed with not being overweight but, on the flip side I've only dated one skinny guy in my life I like tall big guys not necessarily fat but healthy . I have never thought that weight was a deciding factor.

I have to agree with PTG on that...

Part of it is... health issues and part of it is activity level... I'm pretty Fiesty, and like to be on the go... and for someone who is not height/weight proportional or who has more than a few extra pounds, that's going to be difficult...

dunno

If that makes me seem shallow to some, there's nothing I can do about that... I gave my honest answer/preference. wave
