I have been to most islands in the Carribean. I have even been to Exuma Bahamas. Exuma is (or at least was in 1995) unexploited and very peaceful. My next adventure is to Andros Island Bahamas. Almost completely unexploited I heard its like Gilligans Island only bigger. Anyone been there?
I went on a cruise to ten different Carribean islands quite a few years ago....of all of those, my favorite was St. Lucia...but I have since seen the light...
As of my September '05 vacation, the Dominican Republic is now my Eden of choice....I will go there every single chance that I get....
My least fave was Antigua... like New Mexico with water... just about the only green was the cactus that seemed to be everywhere and the little green parakeets, and the highest point was only 4 feet above sea level. It was my first Caribbean island and I thought, ok, I've seen all the movies, God sure did make a mistake here cuz this looks NOTHING like a Caribbean island!! :-p
Trinidad & Tobago...because that's where i'm originally from...its the very last island in the Caribbean right next to Venezuela. When it was part of Great Britain it was called the "Jewel of the Caribbean"...it was originally discovered by Christopher Columbus though, and became independant of Britain in 1962. Tobago by the way is said to be the island that Robinson Carusoe inhabited with his manservant Friday...
Been to Puerto Rico and Barbados during a cadet cruise while in the Coast Guard. Due to time restraints, didn't have much time at either to do a lot of sightseeing. Would love to go back to see more
