True love is a mutual understanding between two people. It is trust, fidelity, and a commitment. When a man and woman (or man/man - woman/woman whatever) truly love eachother, they over come all obsticals through constant communication and hard work. Without communication, there is no trust... and if you do not trust, whats the point in commitment? If you are not willing to put your all into the relationship, dont bother. A couple who is truly in love fights for eachother.

I think the this is a very hard question...the definiton of love if simple but complicated at the same time.It is very easy 2 say 2 someone u love him/her..but is harder 2 be proven.WHat is love?well I can;t define it...not even all the words from this world can define this beautiful feeling.But if i'd give a definition i'd say that:
LOVE is respecting the one you have near u,accepting the good and the bad parts of that person;love means understanding,love is pure,love is our meaning in life.

Nope, I've not reached the meaning of true love with any men in my life. In the years I was with them I thought I was truly in love with them but after the split ups and then getting into relationships with other blokes I realise I couldn't have been truly in love with them after all. Someone once said to me you can define if its true love or not it you would die for them. I've never felt I could die for any of the men in my life. Though I believe this can be different where motherly love is concerned. Years ago a friend of mine was crossing the road on a pelican crossing and a joyrider headed towards her so she pushed her 2 kids forward so it missed them but she was killed instead. I would also die for my own son and this is what I define as true love. This is a different slant on the original post but just my thoughts on it
