Internet dating ever work? (39)
I married a guy off the net. Didn't work out we're seperated now. He seemed perfect for the first 3 years. The last 2 a total nightmare. Nothing but lies, and him doing stuff behind my back.. realized he couldn't keep a job(once he got immigration and could work here). And we have a son together that he can't support. He walked out & went back to his country(USA) 3 weeks ago and i've heard NOTHING. I really want someone CLOSE and in "real life" next time. When you deal with internet & "trips" to see eachother, I learned they can put on a really good show and seem great. Once you finally LIVE with them, a totally different story!

Yes, The online dating thing does work. You just have to be patient. i have met the most wonderful girl on this website and we just adore each other.

I don't think it could ever work for me. I only met one bloke I fancied and he turned out to be the player deluxe of the internet 
That isn't what put me off though, if anything it made me realise that I'm more of a reality person and like to have blokes who I meet in real life because then I can weigh up if I fancy them or not plus I know what I'm getting, plus they live in my town

It's then bit hard to look at other places. Seems to me that easier to search on internet as long as what type of person you want. Mentioning other places such as bars, work and party, it's hard to know someone is looking for or someone who has the quality u're searching for. Personally, actually I do believe it must work....then again seems people all want...but then seem scared what they have????? right?

I met my girl online, yes it can be done, We met in the blogs and forums, just commenting. It's good way to see peoples reactions, their personalities. Another thing that really increases your odds, is if your put in your profile if you are willing to relocate or not. Imagine how many people only search within a 50 to 100 mile radius. I moved 450 miles. There is hope.

Even though my last relationship did not last 3 years it also came from another dating site. It was a wonderful, learning and personal experience.
No regrets. No relationship baggage as we are still friends. Distance was the killer and is, I think one of the hardest ways to end up breaking it off.
Instead of a quick pain, it ended up a 3 month long breakdown of something great, but no fault of either of us.
I've been very happy with internet dating on the whole. I have meet people I would NEVER have meet any other way. Some have become great long time friends. As I had had no luck in my numerous groups of friends and my busy social life. I figured what could it hurt!
So I'm dancing for internet dating!!!

My Ex Wife shot at me, that's why she is an ex wife, not to mention she had more Personalities than an MGM movie .
