Well, it might not be your life to take, but your life is yours to care for.
Now, by the same token: then you shouldn't take contraceptive pills as you will be killing the cells needed for future children, some might say they are children already, just not joined by the male seed... I mean, it is a matter of how you see it.
We all have a choice. I chose to have my children. But my circumstances were the right circumstances. I don't know what I might have done if they weren't.
oh, really?? I have worked with children that have grown up in foster care or in shelters because there are not enough "loving" people to take them in. Frequently, the ones that do go to foster care are abused.
How many of these children have you adapted? Where are the"plenty of good homes for these children. *M*"???? Maybeadonna or Angelina Jolie would adapt them if they were foreign kids, huh??
I respect your opinion. I whole heartedly disagree, because I have been there. I just ask that you show me where all these "good homes" are. Then tell me why so many children grow up in homes and abusive foster care!
you've got one Hell of a point there. It really only concerns the Letter of the Law,and the people directly involved in the Issue. Strangely enough I always hear about the Rights of the Unborn, but no one ever mentions the Rights of the Women concerned. It should certainly worry the women,to be looked at as Birth-Machines again. Polititians of course like it.Gives them more Votes and more Cannon-Fodder for all kinds of Wars. Just thought I make a few points.Haven't resolved the Issue in my mind one Way or the Other yet
not every one feels about their Baby the way you do. I understand your feelings and laud you for it. But this is a Debate which will never be resolved. It was going on when I was in my late Teens, and has not abated yet. I wish you all the best with the Baby,be good to yourself.
I don't know about forced birth control but I definitely agree that one should have to be licensed to have a child, and that the consiquences for having a child without a license should be harsh. Its kind of strange to see that not everyone is allowed to drive a car but anyone can have a child. At the very least some guidelines should be put in place.
Sort of agree with this one and a previous one re. where are all the good homes to put all these unwanted children in. I work with adults who's lives have been sheer hell as a child, this is not a nice world for some people. It is all about educating people not to have them in the first place. AND in reply to this post...where are the responsibilities with regard to the men who also have a part to play. It is always seen as the mother of the child who is the bad person... who should love the child just because it is a child....IT TAKES TWO to create a life...why should the woman always be held responsible...
Thats interesting. I didn't know that its use was limited down there. I know in Ontario its quite easy to get. In fact a couple of my friends have used it. I heard though its not really guaranteed after the first use.
Unfortunately I am one of those women in this world that could never have children. This was the soul reason for my divorce. Therefore, on that note I will keep my opinon to myself and I'm outta here
yes this idea was visited yesterday i think if you arent of a certain age you have nothing to offer in discussion i must say age doesnt automatically equal wisdom nor youth ingorance
One thing that gets me is to see a girl 20 years old with 3 kids. The kids look like they haven't been bathed in a week, hair not combed, their clothes don't even fit right. Then there stands their "mother" (and I use the term loosely) wearing all name brand clothes, shoes, nails done, and her hair is done and she's buying them nothing but sodas and candy and pays with food stamps. Then she pulls a dollar bill out of her purse and buys a blunt.....wtf?? And I know that she gets section 8, so she gets a house to live in, a credit for her lights and utilities and pays maybe $80 a month!!!
I'm standing behind them getting madder by the minute, knowing that I work 50 hours a week in a dayum fish factory which stinks like he!! and is cold as ice. Although, I work every day to have my own money, I can't even afford to rent my own house or buy one, and sometimes I struggle to put food on the table. Yet, because she had 3 kids that she obviously can't provide for, she doesn't do without a roof over her head and the kiddies are getting their junk-food fix. She doesn't even try to raise them right either because they're all screaming and acting ignorant because the "mother" hasn't given them any home training.
