Well, some men have had children in their 70s, haven't they? Charlie Chaplin for one... so, who knows? I think ya gotta keep it real though.... mid to late 40s?

I'd agree... giving no thought to the possible affects on the kids should one or both parents die.

My father was 42 when I arrived.

He died when he was 72; I was thirty.


Even 52 would have made me 20 and on my own.



I also think it depends on your extended family...how many uncles and other male family members to be a male influence.

It's hard to say because I know for a fact that you appreciate your kids more when you are older.
when you are very young you can be resentful of not having the freedom that you did before the kids arrived.
That does not mean that you dont love or care for them when you are young but when you are older you are done with the partying and can truely appreciate them.
