opalbeauty: It can be very difficult to deal with adversity, seeing things the way they are, dealing with truth. Moving forward a step at a time. It may be easy for others to see but it is not an easy thing to do. But to see this little boy as real and know all he really needs is love and someone to care for him will move them both forward to a stronger and happier place.

Kids bereavement councelling is really good for this. I sent my kids to it when I got divorced and it really helped them in dealing with the loss of their father , who lives in a differnt country.

Honey let me tell ya.Might i suggest going to counseling with your boy.Church or thru work.
Also remember this FACT.People that talk about suicide rarely to NEVER do it.Just something to think about.Looking for attention.
Tell him sometimes things don't work out.Remind him it's not his fault and go get some ice cream.He needs to see strength from YOU.STAND TALL while around him.
You can deal with your hurt levels apart and away if you need to get a serious cry or ten out of you.Open hearted crying sucks.It reall sucks.
THERE ARE SEVERAL STAGES TO RECOVERY! FOLKS?Yes,Anger is one of them.

keepinitreal4u1: why dont guys watch what they say and promise...i just got out of a longterm relationship...we were planning on moving in together so naturally i started getting my kids involved...well he started making promises to my son age 9....so when he took off promises broken my son thinks its his fault and that he doesnt like him...and today he had a meltdown and was talking bout killing hisself...seriously guys u need to be careful when u deal with kids...my heart is broken cause my baby was hurt badly...
