Conrad Black, a renowned Canadian business mogul was sentenced today in Chicago to 6.5 years for stealing 32 million, although they only charged him with 8 million. What bothers me is that he shows no remorse at all. He blames everyone else. The greed factor; here's a guy worth hundreds of millions, yet breaks the law and gives up his freedom for a chance to add a few more million to his wallet. I mean, you only have one stomach, when it's full it's full. His millions now will only do one thing, keep him in chocolate bars in prison.
You not gonna be happy when you here of the millionaires prison program the states have. I heard it said the only thing they really give up is travel and social life phones 24/7 private cell private guards( you can imagine what that means)
And climate sometimes they get to pick where they gonna do their sentence.
everyone of these rich #$%^ should not be allowed to make a dime while in prison all stock and investments profits they have go to the victimsfor every year they are imprisoned Every cent they make off of articles and books and movie deals of their crime goes to the victims
It really doesn't bother me at all if someone's greedy and they earned it honestly. My issue would be the corruption aspect.
In the end people can't take their riches with them...so it goes somewhere~ Hopefully people would do good things w/their riches, but it's not for me to expect.
We've all got to live with ourselves in the final analysis....
yes- all that time and money through the courts for the truth. and what do we still do, put ourselves behind bars - like animals-- rather archaic- still - community service- but who am I to judge
