I will admit, I have not been the most safety conscious when it comes to meeting the men I date.
I have met four men this year, and each one of them came to my house. My first meeting of each was on my doorstep. In fact, the first time I had heard their voices was when they phoned for directions to my impossible to find house!
I know I was taking risks, but I felt I knew these men.............HOW WRONG I WAS!!! lol!!!

I always arrange to meet new people in a public place. I also have a phone conversation with them and if possible, a cam viewing.
You should always trust your gut instinct too, if you don't feel right about someone, don't meet them!!

Definitely a cam conversation and phone chat before the meeting, if any.
After that depending on how well we know each other and the mutual feeling ... place to meet wouldn't be much an issue.

That one isn't entirely true. I dated a guy for about 5 months, when I broke things off he showed up at my work, would leave notes on my door, and would show up wherever I was. He even opened my car door before I had even turned off the engine when I pulled into a gas station near my home.
You have to go with your gut on whether or not you trust someone. Trust doesn't have a time table.

if you go to a pub or lounge or bar DO NOT leave your drink unattended
let someone you trust know your whereabouts at all times (go to the ladies room & call them to let them know you are alright), do this every 30 minutes or so & if they don't hear from you they know something is wrong.

Oh no! Double dating is wrong. My friend didn't like my date and they got in really nasty argument ones. Not doing that ever again...
