Here's a little song I wrote You might want to sing it note for note Don't worry, be happy. In every life we have some trouble But when you worry you make it double Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy now.
(Chorus) Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy.
Ain't got no place to lay your head Somebody came and took your bed Don't worry, be happy. The landlord say your rent is late He may have to litigate Don't worry, be happy.
(Chorus) (Look at me -- I'm happy. Don't worry, be happy. Here I give you my phone number. When you worry, call me, I make you happy. Don't worry, be happy.)
Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style Ain't got no gal to make you smile Don't worry, be happy. 'Cause when you worry your face will frown And that will bring everybody down Don't worry, be happy.
(Chorus) (Don't worry, don't worry, don't do it. Be happy. Put a smile on your face. Don't bring everybody down. Don't worry. It will soon pass, whatever it is. Don't worry, be happy. I'm not worried, I'm happy...)
a lot of these songs would be more bearable if new karaoke singers started off with easy songs...but no!! They go for the hardest songs and butcher them. But if everyone was a good singer, karaoke would be no fun
He said I'll love you 'til I die She told him you'll forget in time As the years went slowly by She still preyed upon his mind
He kept her picture on his wall Went half crazy now and then He still loved her through it all Hoping she'd come back again
Kept some letters by his bed Dated 1962 He had underlined in red Every single I love you
I went to see him just today Oh but I didn't see no tears All dressed up to go away First time I'd seen him smile in years
(Chorus) He stopped loving her today They placed a wreath upon his door And soon they'll carry him away He stopped loving her today
(Spoken) You know she came to see him one last time Oh and we all wondered if she would And it kept running through my mind This time he's over her for good
I used to run Karaoke as well. The most popular duet that I would get people putting in was "Picture". I used to threaten my boss that I was going to break the CD so I didn't have to hear it anymore.
Solo, for guys: Definitely Unchained Melody as Ship said. For girls: You Oughta Know by Alannis Morrisette was REALLY popular for a while (lots of angry women apparently)
Oh man Ship....You would have loved this girl, Kimmie that used to come to all my shows.
She was a really cute tiny barbie doll blonde, but was sooooo completely tone deaf with a really high pitched nasally voice. Course she'd get up there and the guys would all cheer because she was cute, which encourage her to sing even more songs.
